Welcome to JaraFund ("we," "our," or "us"). By using our platform, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using JaraFund, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to create a campaign or make a donation.
• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.

3. Campaigns

• Approval: All campaigns are reviewed and must be approved before going live. We reserve the right to reject any campaign that violates our policies.
• Prohibited Campaigns: We do not allow campaigns that are fraudulent, illegal, or harmful. This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Scams or pyramid schemes
  • Illegal activities or hate speech
  • Medical treatments without proper documentation
• Ending Campaigns: Campaigns automatically end when the deadline is reached or when the creator manually ends them.

4. Donations

• Payment Processing: All payments are processed securely through Paystack. We do not store your payment information.
• Refunds: Donations are generally non-refundable. However, if a campaign is fraudulent, donors may be eligible for refunds after investigation.
• Anonymous Donations: Donors may choose to remain anonymous. Their identity will not be shown publicly.

5. Fees

• Platform Fee: A 5% platform fee is deducted from each donation. This fee covers transaction costs and platform maintenance.
• Payment Gateway Fees: Paystack charges a standard processing fee, which is included in the total deducted from donations.
• Withdrawals: Fund withdrawals are subject to bank transfer fees, which are deducted from the withdrawal amount.

6. KYC and Verification

• To withdraw funds, you must complete KYC verification by providing your NIN and bank account details.
• We may request additional documentation to verify your identity or campaign legitimacy.
• Failure to complete KYC will prevent you from withdrawing funds.

7. Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

• Create fraudulent or misleading campaigns
• Use the platform for illegal activities
• Harass or threaten other users
• Post harmful or offensive content
• Attempt to bypass our security measures
• Claim ownership of content that is not yours

8. Account Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraud, or harm the platform's reputation. Suspended accounts will have any remaining funds frozen pending review.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on JaraFund (logos, design, text, and code) is owned by us and protected by copyright laws. You may not reproduce or distribute our content without permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

JaraFund provides the platform "as is" without any warranties. We are not liable for losses resulting from:

• Technical issues or downtime
• Campaign fraud by third-party creators
• Payment processing errors
• User data breaches caused by external factors

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria. Any disputes will be resolved in Nigerian courts.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on our platform.
